Um, I have to write some today. Since I attended at the training seminar, today wasn't much busy day and I dismissed in rather early hour. After the work, I went back to the station where I live and spend four hours or so reading a book. I took today's dinner at the spaghetti bar in the station. Its pasta seemed more like ramen, but I like that.

I finished to read Mizuki Mizushiro's "Psycome." And, though I went to Kinukuniya bookstore yesterday after work, finally I don't have any new manga or new novel I want to read remain, so I started to read "The Best American Essays 2015," I bought almost a half year ago and stuck. I can read it pretty 30 pages today, but it certainly too difficult to me. However, for my handwriting practices I'm doing these days, it maybe become great source of practices, I hope.

Finally, it is Friday. Thank god it's Friday. Somehow, it's continuing that I constantly couldn't have appropriate sleeping time, even after I finished the exam, I can sleep as long as I want this weekend.

The word was merely 192 words. It's bad that my writing skill's already began declining...

23:50-0:22

I bought a new fountain pan at Tokyu-Hands in the Tokyo Station building. Initially I went to there because I have to buy a shoulder strap which the old one was broken, but recently, the Kakuno I usually are using, it's pen point is becoming worn I feel, so I'm thinking to replace it to new one. However, today I bought not Kakuno, but other 3,000 yen one, which also made by Pilot, since I can re-use my ink cartridges to it I think. A white, has grass like texture, white flamed fountain pen. I'd like to buy a black, matt textured flamed pen if they have medium line, but unfortunately there wasn't one.

The new fountain pen is much heavier than Kakuno, so I need to be getting used to it for a while. At the first impression, I feel the line is much more thin than Kakuno, but maybe it is due to the Kakuno's nib is so worn out. Anyway, the new one's good point is it has a clip on its cap so I tied it when I have it in my breast pocket.

Apparently, Pokemon Go released in Japan, and my wife straight away installed it. Since it needs you moving around physically, I don't think I will install it to my phone, though. But I hope it somehow affect to the stock price which I have in a good way.

Time was over. I don't think I wrote something meaningful as usual, but the word count is 253, and that was good enough for me at the time being.

1:53-2:24

The interview exam's result arrived. I'm almost there. But I confirmed that the bar isn't that high, so I think I can pass in this year.

I have finished to read Yukito Ayatsuji's "Another S/0". That was good. And I tried to start to watch anime version of it, but I gave up on fist three episode. Graphics was fine, however, its sound effect's pretty loud, and it's rough when I was tired.

And next, I started to read Mizuki Mizushiro's "Psycome". Until now searched the Author's name, I thought its pronunciation was Sai-Kom, but it's actually Sai-Kome. I didn't know that...Anyway, it's the fairly a new type of novel to me. The taste is like some of those in "Hanzai Japan", but it incorporates more harem essence, and actually I don't dislike it. But, somehow the novel uses much difficult words for me a little much. Apparently, the novel is targeting high school kids, so that mean I might be not reached to that level of vocabulary...

I'm keeping on practicing cursive writing. Today, I could make a copy of this week's troubleshooter corner in about two hours. But, I'm not confident that I can speed up my writing speed more. Compared to the speed when I write in block style, I need to speed up on the double. I don't think I can make that...Maybe, at some point, I should be better I restore my original writing style.

Okay, time up. The word count was 248. Not bad.

1:18-1:46

It's bad that I don't write something for three days straight, so I should write something today. I could take these three holiday full, and this is the first which I don't have anything to prepare for exam in two or three months. So I took fully relaxed time from yesterday. Though, I wrote I took relaxing, I'm practicing cursive writing all days.

I feel I'm getting my speed up on writing in cursive, and I think at this pace, I can be match on the writing speed when I write in block style, I hope. I know I could copy Thursday's troubleshooter column for around an hour, but last week's, with using cursive, I took around four hours to copy all of it. But I think I can copy it for two hours now.

About the interview test, I think I'm desperately lack to daily conversation skill, like introducing myself. So, I bought some books to build that skill up. One of those books titled "English Words for Sophisticated Conversation" or like that, actually a vocabulary book about the topic which every high school kids should know about in English, such like Tokugawa Ieyasu started to open Edo shogunate at 1603. Actually, I've already forgot almost all of them, and it's somehow interesting.

Practicing cursive style writing and re-studying the knowledge of high school in English are surely you can't do if you don't have much time. This is a luxurious time.

The word count is 248. I think this is enough for today.

2:25-3:15

First thing's first, I should write about the interview this Sunday. First, I should prepare some introduction of me to start conversation. I thought the exam might began when I entered to the room, and thought interviewers should start questioning about me. But in introduction phase, I simply told about myself and there was no questions about it, so if I'd prepared right length and proper content of my introduction, I can fully control in that session. Next, I choose a topic of Japanese energy strategy. I really regret I should elaborate more about hydrogen, but I was totally panicked and, in the end, I don't think I could give a good speech. Question session was not too bad, I feel. Basically, overall direction of my preparation wasn't so far wrong. Lessons were, next time I should be well prepared introduce myself and I shouldn't be panicked while I'm giving a speech.

As I planned before the interview, now I've been freed from preparing some heavy exams, I started to practice cursive style writing. Apparently, in old days, people studied how to write cursive style in their middle school years, but I believe in my age, we didn't have been lectured it, so I wanted to learn it someday. Recently, I usually use my fountain pen, Kakuno, so I often thought, with fountain pen, it probably more fit if I use cursive style. Plus, recently I've read "Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto", so I kind of being influenced how nice if I could write cursive text. I really looking forward to be able to write cursive text. However, I think one of the purpose of the style is that you can write faster if you get familiar enough to it.

Umm, I can't wake up any longer...The word count is about 300. That's enough for today.

Gun control in U.S. and the difference in Japan

  • What is it?

It seems that gun related crime continued to be common in today's U.S. Even with only last week, there were incidents that police man shot to kill black people happened twice. And gunmen killed five policemen happened afterward, yesterday. The country is notorious where mass shooting in the public space occurred in every several months. This is utterly unimaginable situation in Japan, where policemen so rarely kill people with their gun. In my memory, the last incident of such case happened once in three years ago.

  • Why gun related killing happen so often in U.S.

Because possessing gun is much common in United States. It obviously cause the problem so more than occasionally some crazy people randomly shot their guns in public space and policemen need to protect themselves using gun. The president of U.S. is very aware the problem and he seems want to change the situation, but the country was consisted by immigrant people and they had a long history which they didn't have adequate amount of strong law enforcer all around the country so they had to protect themselves from the people usually not able to communicate each other.

  • What do you think how to restrict guns in U.S. in better way?

Firstly, they need to eliminate the necessity for possessing gun, to at the least level which usual citizens are expected they don't possess it. The present state that the owner of a stall selling CD possesses a gun because he felt unsecure without it is unusual enough to me, as Japanese citizen. There were several a model cases which successfully reduced its citizen's gun possession rate, such as UK and Australia. Japan was unexpectedly achieved it in the beginning of its feudal era. Incidentally, I happen to know that next country on the list of its people's gun possession rate is North Korea. Perhaps, the strong oppression to its citizen is actually the best way to control guns.

...Ugh, I cannot be awakened anymore. I think this is the most I can prepare to the interview. So I can sleep now. Until tomorrow, then.

The cause of Brexit: or prevalence of isolationism around the world

It is a national referendum in United Kingdom that people vote whether they should leave from European Union or remain. The result was leave side's won by 52% to 48%, which cause huge financial turmoil all over the world. For example, in Japan, the Brexit result cause \1,286, around 8% plummet at Nikkei average next day.

  • Why the referendum held in the first place?

I should be pointed out first, UK wasn't very much cooperative to EU from the beginning. They have retained their own currency, pond and they have needed passport to travel to EU territory. So, they were rather easier position to leave from EU. And it seems there was anxiety growing among British people these several years, since immigrant population surged when Poland joined to EU, and they prospect of more influx people from Middle East countries. It seems a decisive factor why most of British people wanted to leave from EU. The decision to hold the referendum was made around 2010, when the whole world was suffering from great recession caused by bankrupt of Leman Bro's. At the time, it seems the referendum was mere a political tool for British PM James Cameron to bargain with other EU nations, so the referendum was declared to be hold by him. However, since those perturbed behavior which the PM show after the referendum, it seemed he miscalculated the outcome.

  • What can be predicted from Brexit

Britain would lose more of its access to EU market, which makes around 50% of its export. And it will damage the reputation that London as one of the most important world's financial center. Also, it may impact to Scotland region, since its liquor export businesses will suffer. So, the Scottish momentum to independent from UK might grow more after Brexit. Furthermore, English language's value might be reduced since other EU countries resign to use English as their common language.
