2014.04.03 from recent eiken test (2013-3)

Since why I started to this practice is because I am preparing to take EIKEN test. So, I should sometime do practice from recent actual test. Incidentally, It seems there's no literaly translation of "KAKOMON(過去問)" to English.

Below is my answer to actual writing test that was carried out on Summer Session 2013. You can get it from here.
Because It seems to be prohibited so I can't copy the question.

Since I've read English newspapers every day now, I recognized that mass media, especially newspapers, is a great source to get EDUCATION. I think what the greatest of mass media as educational source is that it always provides recent, newest information. So we can feel we are touching live society, we can think we actually use our capability. I think that is important.

In the newspaper, I particularly like life consulting corner. The articles are provided by once every week. In this corner, somebody who usually has unspeakable concern posted their problems. The consultant answered to them. Because almost always these problems are really private matter, so considering their PRIVACY, the contributors name is always provided by only one letter. The stories are (at least it seems to be) from real life. They’re short, and mostly they are tragic story. However, sometimes I laughed out loud when the stories were so vivid and can read ironically full of life. I think it's the shortest form of slice of life.

Of course it's important that the news tells me what the recent topics are, such as POLITICS, economy, new findings, etc. Actually until I begin to read newspapers every day, I used to gather only the news that related to the business I belonged to. That makes my view to the society narrower, sometimes make me feel myself stupid.
