Whisper of the Heart

I read Anime News Network recently. And I happened to see the review of "Whisper of the Heart". I didn't know the translated title of the "耳をすませば". I haven't watch the movie for more than 10 years, but I really liked that movie, so much I could weep alone while I hum "Country Road" when I was young. So, I watched it again.

English translated version of the movie is also a really good source for English learners. I really like the way of speaking "Ha! you're forgetful too!" I thought it's too much good under consideration the movie released in 1995. But I knew it was dubbed in 2006, so I see the quality? of dubbing in English for Japanese anime might've been comtemporalized around that year (In that sense, I compare the voice dubbing around the time. Actually, there's big change in around those years. For example, the dubbings of "Ghost In The Shell"(1996) and "Neon Genesis Evangelion"(1997) suck. But by the time "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"(2007) released, it was perfectionalized)

I noticed, at 1:33:55, Mr Nishi read Shizuku's novel left to right, so perhaps they modified the pictures for translated version? I thought. However, this was the same from original Japanese version. Shizuku wrote it horizontally though she used Japanese manuscript paper, it was unusual.

It is a beautiful movie, and I delight I lived my youth at very same age and the same environment of it. That is why the movie is so precious to me.
