After Dark

新宿紀伊国屋のバーゲンセールで400円で売っていたものを購入。
1000ページの1Q84は心が折れて途中で読むのをあきらめたままだがこちらは200ページ強で、たぶん最近読むスピードが上がっているというのも手伝って2週間で読了可能だった。
村上春樹が売れているというのは知っていたのだけど、どういうわけか村上春樹の日本語での小説読んだことが生まれてこのかた無く、氏の小説を読むのは英訳された1Q84が初めてで、読了したものはAfter Darkのみ。
まあ確かに、現在は英語を勉強中なので英語で読むなら単純に面白い氏の小説は非常に有難いが、楽しむ目的で小説を読むことはもうめったに無くなったのが理由か。

Bought at Shinjuku Kinokuniya Bookstore, when they hold a bargen sale and sell it 400 yen.
I resigned to read 1,000 pages 1Q84, but this book is only 200 pages and little more, and I think my reading speed is improving, so I could finish to read in two weeks.
I've knew that Haruki Murakami's books are well sold in Japan for decades, however, I don't know why, I've never read Murakami's book ever, so "After Dark" is my first novel I finished to read written by him.
Think of, now I'm studying English language so when I read the novel by English, then since his novel is very amusing so it is very welcome to me now, but I haven't read any Japanese language novel to entertain myself anymore, is the reason to it, perhaps?
